About the Event
The program “KOSHA Yoga” was developed by Lora as a result of her personal experiences with injuries sustained from her yoga practice and years of teaching yoga. Relying on her background as a professional scientist, Lora has integrated evidence-based methodologies from functional movement, athletic training and human biomechanics into a modular program. This 20 hour journey will teach program attendees how to analyze yoga postures through the lens of the human body’s kinetic chains along with an understanding of the human body’s joint ranges of motion.
Participants will learn how we are all similar in overarching structure but most importantly how each individual may present with structural (at the level of the bones) and/or functional (how we hold ourselves up against gravity) differences.
