About the Event
One of the tenets of the Kripalu Yoga tradition is “Riding the Wave”. It teaches us how to Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, and Allow during a yoga pose so we become firmly grounded in the present moment. How can we then translate those skills to be able to do that when we are confronted with the myriad of challenging emotions in our lives? We will discuss how we can use these skills we gained ‘on the mat’ to dissolve deeply embedded ‘samskaras’ or mental habits. By applying these yoga skills to our emotional world, we are actually doing ‘inner yoga’. Breathing, Relaxing, Feeling, Watching through difficult moments of life- Allows the mystery to heal us.
